2012 CANOE/KAYAK RENTAL RATES

Rates include – canoe and kayak rental, shuttle service to one location, life jackets, paddles, and parking.
(Private shuttling of our canoes is not permitted.) 

 
  1 day rental, per canoe/kayak $57

  2 day rental, per canoe/kayak) $102

  3 day rental, per canoe/kayak $150

  4 day rental, per canoe/kayak $200

  Additional pick up location requires
an additional Shuttle Service Fee. 2 adults included in this fee.  Additional adults will be charged $10. per adult
$20 per rental canoe or kayak.
 
  People Only Shuttle $25 for one or two people- $10 for each additional person after two.

 

PRIVATELY OWNED CANOE/KAYAK INFORMATION

 
  Shuttle service for privately owned
canoe/kayak to 1 location – must have a tag for each canoe.**2 adults included in fee for one private canoe shuttle** *Additional adults being shuttled from same site without canoes are people only shuttles*
$32 per private canoe or kayak per location.

  Additional pick up location requires an additional Shuttle Service Fee. $20 per private canoe or kayak per location.

  Landing Fee -

$8 per canoe, per stay – Tags issued at office

  Canoe/Kayak/Boat Trailer Parking
For our camping guests and for our non-camping guests who use our Shuttle Service.
$10 per stay

  Vehicle Parking – for those using our private canoe shuttle service but not camping here. This service entitles you to park in the campground, use our private canoe landing.
Parking is not available if you are not using our Shuttle Service.
$10 per vehicle per day

 

CANOEING AND RESERVATION INFO.

  • Holiday weekends: 100% deposit required with absolutely no refunds.
  • Rates subject to change.
  • Absolutely no refunds or credit for cancellations made less than 14 days prior to arrival date. Refunds (minus a $10.00 service charge for each canoe and/or site canceled) are given, provided notification is received 14 days or more prior to the arrival date. This includes inclement weather, high waters as well as any other whim of mother nature, closing by order of law enforcement, early departure, late arrival, personal reasons or inappropriate behavior resulting in eviction from campground.
  • Those with 5 or more canoes/kayaks on an overnight canoe trip must shuttle their own gear and people to the put-in point (shuttle location). Cars and drivers return to the campground and park in our parking lot. We will shuttle drivers back to the put-in point to meet the rest of the group. You’ll float back to the campground!
  • Carry in and carry out. Put out all fires with water. Bury human waste 6″ deep and far away from the river. Keep alcohol consumption to a minimum. Public drinking is prohibited in Maine. Kegs are not allowed. In no way will violence or unruly behavior be tolerated. Protect and respect wildlife, privately owned property, and other people along the river. Failure to do so may result in eviction from the Saco River by law enforcement.
  • CANOE/KAYAK SHUTTLE TIMES- We shuttle canoes/kayaks every day starting at  8:00 AM.   All rental canoes/kayaks must be back to our landing by 5:00 PM Sunday through Friday; and, 6:00  PM on Saturday. If you are late returning your rental canoe/kayak, you will be charged an extra day’s rental fee.   Private canoes/kayaks, camping here must be back by 5:00 PM Sunday through Monday; and, 6:00 PM on Saturday, if you would like assistance getting your canoe/kayak back to your site.  If you are not back on time you will be on your own.  If you need a pickup shuttle, (Rental or Private canoes/kayaks) you should call us by 4:00 PM Sunday through Friday; and, 5:00 PM Saturday, to be back in time.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service or rental of our equipment to any person who is intoxicated. No refunds will be made. This policy is consistent with the Saco River Livery Association.
  • Group sign-up sheets are required for groups with 2 or more canoes, IN ADVANCE OF YOUR ARRIVAL. Forms will be sent to you.
